Adjusting your AIRHAWK Pro Cushion

For your AIRHAWK Pro Comfort Seating System to be effective it must be properly adjusted.

Here’s a step by step guide to achieving the best pressure for you.

AIRHAWK Pro CushionStep One:
Push the green knob on the valve to the ‘IN’ position.

Step Two:
Turn the valve counter clockwise to open.

Step Three:
Add air using the pump until all of the cells of the cushion are visibly filled. Do not over inflate!!!

Step Four:
Turn the valve clockwise to close.

Step Five:
Place the AIRHAWK Pro Cushion on your seat with the ISOFLO Memory Control to the right side (when you’re seated).

Step Six:
Sit on the AIRHAWK Pro Cushion in your normal seated position and remain as still as possible.

Step Seven:
Remaining still, open the valve to adjust the air in the cushion. Release enough air until you sink down into the cushion. Your goal is to allow yourself to sink as deeply as possible into the cushion without hitting the bottom. This is achieved by having as little air in your cushion as possible. The ideal inflation is about 1.5cm (half an inch) off the seat. If you feel the seat through the cushion then add more air again – then re-adjust.

Step Eight:
Turn the valve clockwise to close.

Step Nine:
If you feel too much pressure under your legs, push down on the front of the cushion, forcing air out of the front of the cushion and into the back.

Step Ten:
Push the red knob on the cushion to the ‘IN’ position.

Please note:
It may require one or two days of sitting on your AIRHAWK Pro while driving to notice a difference in comfort. As you drive, you may find that your cushion needs to be re-adjusted to provide a more comfortable fit. Experiment with air inflation levels to find the most appropriate fit for your needs. And remember that the best adjustment is achieved while you are sitting on the cushion.
